Freedom from Back Acne

It just sucks to have back acne, doesn’t it? You don’t get to wear the clothes you want when you want to. Everyone wants to get rid of acne, whichever part of the body it may be located, and here are some ways to get rid of acne in general.

First, you can try avoiding tight shirts. Sweat and oil are conduits for acne, and wearing tight shirts keep the sweat and the oil on our skin. This could possibly clog the pores and cause acne.

You should wear your hair up if you’re sporting it long. Hair collects dust and secrets oil. Again, both are proponents of acne, and when they come in contact with the skin, they could possibly clog the pores on your face or your back. Tie it into a neat ponytail. It improves your appearance too.

Change your sheets and your nightwear as often as needed. Dead skin cells, dirt and oil will just clamp onto your sheets and your pajamas. When a lot of dirt is transferred to your nightwear or the sheets, then it can just transfer back to your skin. As we have been saying over and over, dirt and oil can clog your pores. Also try using a hypoallergenic detergent just in case your skin tends to be sensitive and get irritated while you’re treating your acne.

So, the logical thing to do is cleanse your skin as often as needed as well. This will help unclog the pores and take the oil off your skin. You can scrub your skin as well, but don’t scrub too hard. The idea is just to exfoliate and not to skin yourself alive. Use a mild soap and a scrubber to exfoliate your skin. You can use spa salts and other natural defoliants as well. Just remember that it would be better to choose the defoliants that have smaller grains. These will be gentler on your skin.

You should try to detoxify often. Drink lots of water and hit the steam bath at least twice a week. Again, dirt may be lodged up on your pores. By sweating, you can help get them out. Also, waste management in the body is important in getting rid of acne. Good nutrition is always going to reflect in your body. You should drink a lot of water to help moisturize the skin as well. In steaming your back, you can use hot hand towels instead of going to the spa, but you would probably need help with this.

When all else fails, go and see a dermatologist. There could be a medical reason why you’re having back acne.  It is possible that it’s not acne on your back but some sort of allergy. Remember that there are different types of acne. You might need to see the doctor to get a prescription treatment for your back acne. If he does, be religious in the application of the treatment. Treatments work as long as you are diligent in applying them until the acne goes away.
